I’m in the midst of changing over to roaminggamer.com as my primary site. What little business I do (support for “The Game Programmer’s Guide to Torque”) is still on my old site. However, the time has really come and passed for me to make the conversion.
That said, I’m still working on it. Some of the things that are taking so long (besides being generally incompetent as a web designer) and keeping me busy are:
- Writing some “Roaming Gamer” articles about what steps I’ve taken to start roaming (get mobile.)
- TGB Starter Kit (as yet unnamed) – I want to have a “first” product ready (or near-ready) when I make the conversion.
- “1001 Torque Tips, Tricks, and How-Tos” - This is a free resource I’ve been cadging together for some time which I also want available when the door opens. (No, I don’t really have 1001 entries for the resource yet, but it’s such a catch name I’m going to use it anyways)
- Game Developers’ Reasearch Library – Along with the above resource, I have a somewhat larger ‘resource’ I have been putting together for many years. In truth, this is my own ‘designer’s notebook’. I’ve been wanting to put it on the web for some time. Having it web-published will be useful for me and useful for my site visitors.
- Misc. – Isn’t there always more stuff on the miscellaneous bullet?
Well, enough for now. More updates will follow. Until then, happy roaming!
